Bucket Size Optimization for Metering Device in Garlic Planter Using Discrete Element Method

In this study, the discrete element method was used to optimize bucket size for metering device in a garlic planter enhancing productivity of farming according size. Statistical information concerning actual shape cloves incorporated, and mechanical properties were determined using bulk density, sliding test, repose angle test fidelity simulation model. The optimal achieving target plant rate 97.5% developed model three groups. linear search optimization, batch performed validate optimized results confirm performance index device. A Gaussian distribution based on statistical accounted various sizes each group. Finally, verified reliability optimization technique. differences between within 10% all indices, including missing rate, multi-plant planting indicating high analysis Subsequently, larger groups (Groups 2 3) exhibited close rate.
